Call for Submissions

The Annual Conference of the Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters will take place at Utah State University on Saturday, March 21st, 2026. We are now accepting submissions for poster and oral presentations, with a submission deadline of December 1st, 2025. 

Provisional acceptance decisions for presentations will be made within each division by January 15th, 2026. Please note that provisional acceptance is contingent upon registering for the conference within one week of receiving the acceptance notification. https://www.utahacademy.org/registration/ 

The Academy also encourages participants to submit a manuscript based on their presentation for publication in the refereed Journal of the Utah
Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters. Faculty and student members of the Academy are eligible to submit manuscripts. From among papers published in the journal, one outstanding “Best Paper” from each division may be selected, and the author(s) will receive a cash award during the Awards Night in Fall 2026.   One outstanding “Best Poster” from each division may be selected for the “Best Poster” award, which includes a cash prize. Winners will be announced during the Awards Night in Fall 2026.
